LC update available
There have been several problems reported, and bugs fixed,
since the introduction of LC version 2.6. While there are
workarounds for all of these problems, you may want to
upgrade to version 2.6b.
LC 2.6b is now available on the LC web site. Use the same
address you used to download version 2.6. If you don't
remember the address, you can ask me.
The fixes included in 2.6b are:
1. When a new source is created, its rise sigma value defaults
to 0, causing the source waveform to degenerate. The correct
default value is 3. [fixed in 2.6b]
2. The File -> Open dialog from the main menu causes the
program to crash. [fixed in 2.6a]
3. The rise and fall sigma values for a plane wave source
can are now saved to the model file. [fixed in 2.6a]
4. If a plane wave source is deleted, and the file saved,
version 2.6 cannot read the file any longer. [fixed in 2.6a]
One new feature has also been introduced. SPICE ports can now
have two nodes, the default for the second being ground, and
a DC bias to be removed from the output voltage.
Thanks to all those who reported problems.
