LC version 2.7 now available.
A new version of LC, version 2.7, is now available
on the LC web site. Althought the web site name
has changed, the download procedure is as before:
http://lc.cray.com/dist/SITEID/
Where "SITEID" is your usual identifier. Look back at your old
email if you can't remember, or just ask me. As usual, if you
have trouble accessing the distribution, let me know.
Note: I'll be unavailable from Dec 25th until Jan 4th.
You can get a list of the changes between version 2.6 and 2.7
from
http://lc.cray.com/new/2.7/
The most notable feature is the non-uniform mesh capability.
Unfortunately, the new PML ABC which is compatible with
non-uniform meshing is not yet available, but expect to
see it in a future release.
Note that since this is the end of the year, the license
"time bomb" will make previous versions of LC refuse to
run a simulation. I'm working out some ideas on how to avoid
this abrupt cutoff in future releases and allow more overlap
time between a forced upgrade such as this.
