tags at 500 lines?

Kevin,
	When we crunch the data from lc, we often use matlab to deal with
the large amount of data and the many ffts that we need to do. When using
the new version of lc, we noticed that every 500 lines is "tagged" with a
written "500". This makes it kind of hard to plot without going into the
file and removing all the tags (if it is a large, say 20000 time step,
file). Is there anyway to avoid this? Is there a specific reason why this
is done?
