"operand range error"

Hi,

I'm trying to use LC to simulate a periodic structure for optical
wavelengths.  When I run the program, it quits.  At the prompt there is:

LC: Received signal 11: Operand range error.

I thought it had to do with memory, but in the Run Simulation Dialog, the
memory required field shows only 0.1 MB.

The error occurs on two different UNIX boxes and on my PC.

If anyone knows, or at least has an idea of, what causes this error, and
how to avoid it, please tell me.
