What's New With LC Version 2.9
Not many changes went into LC between versions 2.8 and 2.9.
Most of the changes are for far field sweeps, especially grid face
far field data.
More changes occurred "under the hood", but these updates should
not be visible to most users and are not listed here.
Minor Additions
- Added block rotation to the VRML output translator.
- In ealier versions of LC, block rotation was ignored when translating
a model file into VRML (.wrl) format.
- Added model file size reduction via defaults and coordinate format.
- New files created by LC are significantly smaller than older files,
especially for large models.
Changes and Bug Fixes
- -Y/+Y far field grid faces
- Fixed an indexing error in the Hz component of the -Y and +Y
where either the data was incorrect, or the program crashed (or both).
The data was correct only in the case where the size of the grid in
the X- and Y- dimensions was equal.
- Real and imaginary components of the far field grid faces
- The real and imaginary components of the far field grid face data
were interchanged and labelled opposite in the earlier versions of LC.
- Fixed a bug in the "save_hface_imag" sweep parameter
- A typo caused the magnetic field grid face data selection to be
saved with an incorrect identifier. This will cause LC 2.9 to complain
when it reads models created with LC 2.8 if the model contains any
far field sweeps.
Magnetic field grid face output selections have to be reset manually.
- Directional far field phase data
- The directional far field phase data was incorrectly calculated.
Directional far field sweeps are calculated for a particular look angle.
- Fixed an erroneous wizard warning about surface probe field interpolation.
